The Infinity Primus 753T is a pair of 0.75-inch car audio tweeters designed to add dedicated high-frequency reproduction to a vehicle sound system. Its edge-driven silk dome design is intended for clear upper-frequency detail, making it a practical choice for a component-speaker installation or a tweeter replacement. The pair includes in-line crossovers to help route appropriate frequencies to the tweeters.

Each Primus 753T tweeter is rated for 40 watts RMS power handling and 120 watts peak power handling. With a 91 dB sensitivity rating measured at 2.83V/1m, the set is designed to work efficiently with compatible factory or aftermarket amplification. Its specified frequency response is 2 kHz to 20 kHz at -6 dB.

The 3/4-inch silk dome diaphragm is edge-driven, a construction intended to reproduce the upper range with a smooth, detailed character. The compact tweeter format can be useful where a full-range speaker cannot be installed but added treble definition is desired. A 3-ohm nominal impedance should be considered when matching the tweeters with the vehicle's amplifier or head unit.

Included in-line crossovers use a 5 kHz crossover point with a 12 dB-per-octave slope. These crossovers are an important part of the system because they direct lower frequencies away from the tweeters. Use the supplied crossover on each channel rather than wiring the tweeters as full-range drivers.

The Primus 753T package includes mounting hardware for several installation approaches, including flush, surface, and Starfish-style mounting options. This gives an installer flexibility when working with dash panels, sail panels, factory tweeter openings, or custom locations. It is suited to a system upgrade where properly placed tweeters and compatible midrange speakers are used to improve front-stage coverage.

Design & Installation

The Primus 753T uses 3/4-inch edge-driven silk dome tweeters and is supplied in a black finish. Its package includes threaded flush-mount adapters, locking nuts, surface-mount cups, and Starfish tweeter mounts. The mounting parts support different placement methods without requiring the installer to source basic tweeter hardware separately.

For installation, place one included in-line crossover between each tweeter and the audio system, observing speaker polarity. Confirm that the selected location has adequate clearance and that the amplifier or source unit is compatible with the 3-ohm nominal impedance. Flush mounting, surface mounting, and use of the supplied Starfish mounts should be chosen according to the vehicle's available panel space and factory tweeter location.
