Hertz C26OE 1" OEM Component Tweeters

The Hertz C26OE is a pair of 26 mm (1 in.) component tweeters designed for OEM-location car-audio upgrades. It addresses the need to add or replace high-frequency drivers while working within factory-style mounting locations. Each tweeter uses a 4-ohm design and includes installation-focused accessories for integration.

Its soft Tetolon dome is intended to reproduce upper-frequency detail with a natural character. The 20 mm voice coil and neodymium motor support controlled response through the tweeter's specified 1.8 kHz to 22.5 kHz frequency range. With 92 dB SPL sensitivity, the C26OE can be paired thoughtfully with compatible front-stage components.

Hertz designed the C26OE faceplate geometry using FEM-based modeling for OEM-placement installations. This approach is intended to support a more linear response when the tweeter is mounted off-axis in factory locations such as dash or pillar positions. It is a practical option for installers building a cleaner-looking upgrade without adding prominent custom pods.

The included CCX 26 cable crossover is built into the wiring to reduce the space required for an OEM upgrade. Its 6 dB-per-octave high-pass filtering helps route appropriate high-frequency content to the tweeters. The tweeters are rated for 120 watts peak when high-pass filtered at 2.5 kHz with a 12 dB-per-octave filter.

Use the C26OE as part of a properly filtered front-stage upgrade rather than as a full-range speaker. Its compact dimensions, low individual speaker weight, and OEM-oriented mounting hardware make it suited to vehicles with available factory tweeter positions. The C26OE combines a 26 mm soft Tetolon dome with a 20 mm voice coil and neodymium magnet. Each tweeter weighs approximately 0.037 kg (0.08 lb.), helping keep the assembly compact for confined factory locations. Hertz specifies a 19 x 3 mm magnet size and a shallow 17.7 mm physical dimension.

Install the pair in suitable factory tweeter locations and use the supplied CCX 26 in-line crossover cables as intended. Observe polarity and keep the tweeters high-pass filtered; Hertz specifies the 120 W peak rating with a 2.5 kHz, 12 dB-per-octave high-pass condition.
