Each kit includes a dedicated high-pass crossover to route appropriate frequencies to the tweeters.

This kit is suited to installations where clearer upper-frequency detail and more focused treble placement are desired. The 4-ohm tweeters are rated for 75 watts RMS and 150 watts peak power per set. Their 3 kHz to 22 kHz frequency-response specification supports use above a compatible midrange or woofer section.

The T2T-S uses 1-inch aluminum dome tweeters with a 1-inch voice coil and a published sensitivity of 90 dB at 1 watt/1 meter. The supplied high-pass Butterworth crossover is specified at 3 kHz with an 18 dB-per-octave slope. This provides frequency filtering for the tweeters rather than requiring them to receive a full-range signal directly.

Its crossover offers selectable tweeter-output connections for 0 dB, -2 dB, or -4 dB attenuation. An Axis switch provides ON and OFF settings to help accommodate tweeter placement relative to the listener. These provisions can be useful when mounting locations create different perceived treble levels from side to side or between vehicles.

The T2T-S can be used as part of a custom component-speaker system with compatible midrange drivers, amplifier channels, and source equipment. Rockford Fosgate recommends 22.5 to 75 watts RMS of amplifier power for the set. It is a dedicated tweeter system, so matching crossover points, power, and mounting locations should be considered when planning the overall system.

Design & Installation

The T2T-S employs aluminum dome tweeters, integral non-removable protective grilles, and Rockford Fosgate's Discreet Dual Clamp mounting design. The kit includes polished-aluminum and brushed-aluminum trim-ring sets, allowing the visible finish to be selected during installation. The flush-mount arrangement uses a 1.75-inch mounting hole and a center screw that applies clamping pressure around the opening.

For flush mounting, confirm clearance for the specified 0.95-inch mounting depth and use the included template to mark the opening. The kit includes a high-pass crossover, so wire the amplifier or source output to the crossover input and connect each tweeter with correct polarity. Select only one positive attenuation terminal on the T2T-S crossover—0 dB, -2 dB, or -4 dB—then set the Axis switch as appropriate for the installation.
