The R1T-S uses Mylar balanced-dome tweeters, a lightweight diaphragm design intended to reproduce upper frequencies with controlled detail. Its specified frequency response is 2.5 kHz to 22 kHz, covering the high-frequency range that smaller full-range door speakers may not reproduce as effectively. Sensitivity is rated at 72.5 dB at 1 watt/1 meter.

Each tweeter has an integrated passive high-pass crossover, so the driver is filtered from lower frequencies that are better handled by a midrange or woofer. The crossover is specified at 4.5 kHz with a 6 dB-per-octave slope. This simplifies adding the tweeters to a compatible speaker system while maintaining the intended high-frequency role.

With 40 watts RMS and 80 watts maximum power handling, the R1T-S can be matched with modest aftermarket amplification or an appropriately powered head-unit system. The kit is sold as a pair and includes grilles, trim rings, mounting hardware, and flush/surface/angle mounts. Design & Installation

The R1T-S uses black Mylar balanced-dome tweeters with included grilles and trim rings for a finished appearance. The compact kit is built around a 0.5-inch voice coil and 1-inch nominal tweeter format. Its supplied mounting pieces allow the installer to select a mounting presentation appropriate to the vehicle panel and listening position.

For flush mounting, allow for a 0.76-inch mounting depth and a 1.83-inch mounting diameter; the flush-mount assembly has a 2.13-inch outside diameter. Surface or angle mounting requires 1.06 inches of depth, with a 1.81-inch mounting diameter. Maintain correct speaker polarity and use the integrated high-pass crossover when wiring the tweeters into a compatible system.
