Memphis MJPT25 1" MOJO Pro Bullet Tweeters

The Memphis MJPT25 is a pair of 1-inch MOJO Pro bullet tweeters designed to add dedicated high-frequency output to a vehicle audio system. They are suited to systems that need more vocal presence, cymbal detail, and upper-frequency projection than factory speakers can provide. With a 4-ohm load and high 105 dB sensitivity, these tweeters are intended for high-output aftermarket applications.

Each MJPT25 tweeter is rated for 100 watts RMS and 200 watts peak power handling. This power capability makes the pair appropriate for use with a properly matched external amplifier or a high-powered multi-channel system. Their 1,500-20,000 Hz frequency response focuses performance on the upper midrange and treble range.

The tweeters use aluminum dome diaphragms and a neodymium magnet motor structure. A billet phase plug is incorporated into the bullet-style design. This construction supports a compact high-efficiency format for installations where strong high-frequency output is a priority.

The MJPT25 uses a rear-mount threaded body design that allows the mounting surface to be secured between the threaded trim ring and mounting collar. Its compact 1-inch, 25 mm driver size works well in custom panels, doors, dash locations, motorcycle fairings, and other suitable speaker pods. A 1.69-inch mounting cutout is specified for installation.

For system integration, the included capacitors provide a basic first-order high-pass filter when another crossover is not being used. This helps protect the tweeters from low-frequency content that they are not designed to reproduce. Pair the MJPT25 with compatible midrange speakers, an appropriate crossover strategy, and amplifier power matched to its RMS rating.

Design & Installation

The MJPT25 combines an aluminum dome, billet phase plug, neodymium magnet, and gold-plated compression terminals in a compact bullet-tweeter assembly. Its threaded body, trim ring, and mounting collar are designed to secure the tweeter from the rear of the mounting surface. Grilles are not included.

Plan for a 1.69-inch cutout and approximately 1.5 inches of mounting depth, while confirming clearance behind the mounting panel before drilling. Connect speaker wiring to the compression terminals, observing polarity, and use the included inline capacitor on the positive lead if no other suitable high-pass crossover is installed. The terminals accept up to 16-gauge speaker wire.
