The Rockford Fosgate M1-65B is a pair of black 6.5-inch, 2-way marine speakers designed for boats and powersports systems exposed to sun, spray, and changing weather. They provide a full-range upgrade for factory or aftermarket speaker locations where marine-grade durability is important. Each speaker combines a woofer and grille-integrated tweeter in one coaxial assembly.

With 75 watts RMS and 300 watts peak power handling per speaker, the M1-65B is suited to properly matched marine or powersports amplification. Its 4-ohm nominal impedance works with common multi-channel amplifiers and compatible source-unit speaker outputs. The specified 38 Hz to 22 kHz frequency response supports broad full-range playback, while a concealed crossover divides frequencies between the woofer and tweeter.

A 1-inch LCP balanced-dome tweeter is integrated into the grille to reproduce high-frequency detail without requiring a separate tweeter mount. The mineral-filled polypropylene cone and Santoprene VAST surround are made for dependable operation in marine environments. Rockford Fosgate rates the speaker at 90 dB sensitivity at 1 watt/1 meter.

Color Optix RGB illumination adds customizable lighting to the speaker system. The M1-65B can connect with a compatible Rockford Fosgate Color Optix controller and the RF Connect App for coordinated lighting control. Its integrated RGB wiring uses a Deutsch connector, and the speakers include LED power harnesses.

These speakers are Element Ready and IP67 rated for marine and motorsports use. Their UV-stable ASA frame and grille, sealed motor design, marine-grade terminals, and stainless-steel mounting hardware support installation in demanding open-air applications. Design & Installation

The M1-65B uses a black UV-stable ASA plastic frame and grille, a co-molded mineral-filled polypropylene cone, and a Santoprene VAST surround. Its sealed motor design and zinc nickel-plated marine-grade brass terminals are intended for outdoor audio environments. A fully sealed integrated concealed crossover network is built into the speaker assembly, while the grille and trim ring are included.

Confirm the available mounting depth and cutout before installation: the manufacturer manual lists a 5.36-inch cutout diameter and 2.52-inch mounting depth. Connect the speaker wiring with correct polarity, then use the included stainless-steel hardware for mounting. For RGB illumination, use a compatible Color Optix controller or follow the specified fused 12-volt wiring guidance; Rockford Fosgate recommends at least 20-gauge wire for hardwired Color Optix lighting.
