Rockford Fosgate M0WL-65MB 6.5" Moto-Can Speakers

The Rockford Fosgate M0WL-65MB is a pair of 6.5-inch, 2-way Moto-Can speakers designed for SXS, UTV, and other motorsports applications. Their clamp-on enclosure format provides an audio upgrade where conventional door or panel-mounted speakers are not practical. The black finish and integrated sport grilles give the pair a coordinated appearance on compatible roll-cage bars.

Each loaded Moto-Can uses a 4-ohm M0-series speaker rated for 65 watts RMS and 250 watts peak power handling. The system is intended to reproduce full-range music with a rated frequency response of 40 Hz to 25 kHz. A grille-integrated 1-inch tweeter supports upper-frequency detail while the 6.5-inch driver handles low and midrange content.

For outdoor use, the M0WL-65MB has an Element Ready design with an IPX6 water-intrusion rating. Its sealed high-density ASA enclosure, UV-stable ASA frame and grille components, and sealed connector arrangement are designed for exposure to water, dust, mud, and sunlight. This makes the speakers appropriate for powersports environments where ordinary indoor-style speaker enclosures may not be suitable.

The included universal clamps fit round SXS ROPS bars from 1 inch to 2 inches in diameter. Once mounted, the cans can be aimed for the seating position and adjusted through their rotation hardware. The rear medallion is also rotatable so the branding can be aligned after installation.

M0WL-65MB speakers can be used as part of a complete off-road audio system with a compatible 4-ohm source or amplifier. The included speaker harnesses use Deutsch/Amphenol-style connections to simplify serviceable wiring at the enclosure. Sold as a pair, they provide a matched left-and-right solution for adding sound coverage to a side-by-side or similar vehicle.

Design & Installation

The M0WL-65MB uses sealed high-density ASA Moto-Can enclosures with integrated black sport grilles. The speaker cone is injection-molded, mineral-filled polypropylene with UV inhibitors, while the ASA frame and grille design is UV stable. A sealed enclosure design and silicone-sealed connector system support use in exposed outdoor environments.

Mount the included clamps to compatible 1-inch to 2-inch round bars, then check clearance through the intended rotation range before final tightening. Route the supplied harnesses away from sharp edges and connect red as positive and black as negative using the supplied Deutsch/Amphenol-style connection system. Match the pair to a compatible 4-ohm audio source or amplifier, observing the 65-watt RMS power-handling rating per speaker.
