Rockford Fosgate HD9813RG-STG3 6.5"/6x9" Road Glide Audio Kit

The Rockford Fosgate HD9813RG-STG3 is a Stage 3 motorcycle audio upgrade designed for select 1998–2013 Harley-Davidson Road Glide models. It combines two 6.5-inch fairing speakers, two 6x9-inch saddlebag speakers, a four-channel amplifier, and a model-specific installation kit. The package is intended for riders who want a complete amplified speaker upgrade while retaining a factory-style layout.

The front TMS6RG speakers fit Road Glide fairing locations and use integrated 25 mm tweeters for full-range playback. Rear TMS69 speakers are installed through the included TMS69BL9813 saddlebag retrofit kit. Together, the four-speaker layout adds front-stage clarity and rear fill for music playback in an exposed riding environment.

Power comes from the included M5-800X4 four-channel Element Ready amplifier. Its CTA-2006 continuous rating is 100 watts RMS per channel into either 4- or 2-ohm loads, while its dynamic rating reaches 200 watts per channel at 2 ohms. Adjustable crossovers, Punch EQ, and C.L.E.A.N. clip indicators provide practical setup tools for matching the amplifier to the motorcycle audio system.

The kit is built around motorcycle-specific components made to address weather exposure, vibration, dust, UV, and water spray. The amplifier carries an IPX6 rating, while the speakers use weather-resistant materials including Santoprene surrounds and reinforced frames. The saddlebag speaker kit uses a clamping gasket arrangement and protective grilles for its bag-lid installation.

HD9813RG-STG3 is a system-focused upgrade rather than a replacement radio. The amplifier wiring kit, brackets, harnesses, rear speaker connections, and hardware are included to support installation with the kit's components. A Rockford Fosgate PMX-HD9813 digital media receiver can be added separately as a source-unit upgrade.

Design & Installation

The TMS6RG fairing speakers use polypropylene-carbon-fiber hybrid cones, Santoprene VAST surrounds, metalized-film dome tweeters, and neodymium motor structures. The TMS69 saddlebag speakers use carbon-fiber cones, Santoprene VAST surrounds, film dome tweeters, reinforced polymer frames, and painted stamped-steel grilles with ASA plastic frames. The M5-800X4 amplifier uses an Element Ready sealed chassis design with a die-cast aluminum heat sink and covered top-mounted controls.

Confirm motorcycle fitment before ordering, especially on CVO and Screaming Eagle models, which may require modification. The TMS69BL9813 rear kit is intended for compatible factory ABS plastic hardshell saddlebag lids and is not compatible with fiberglass lids or the Harley-Davidson Power Lock Kit. Use the supplied harnesses and brackets for the intended installation, maintain at least 2 inches of clearance below each saddlebag speaker magnet, and set amplifier crossover and level controls during final system tuning.
