Rockford Fosgate GS-25 2.5" Surface-Mount Speaker Grilles

The Rockford Fosgate GS-25 is a pair of 2.5-inch surface-mount grilles designed to finish and protect compatible Punch V2 speaker installations. They provide a clean exterior cover for installations where the grille can sit proud of the mounting surface. This makes them a practical option for custom panels, doors, dashboards, and other locations with adequate clearance.

These grilles are intended for owners of select Rockford Fosgate P1V2 and P3V2 speaker systems who need an application-specific surface-mount solution. The GS-25 fits the P1V2-25 and P3V2-25, plus the 2.5-inch midrange positions in compatible P3V2 systems. Speakers are sold separately.

As a protective grille accessory, the GS-25 does not add power handling, amplification, or a distinct sound character to a system. Its role is to help shield the speaker while maintaining access to the speaker's intended acoustic output. Correct fitment and secure installation are important to preserve proper speaker operation.

The surface-mount design uses a grille bezel and keyed mesh arrangement for a finished appearance. The mesh snaps into the bezel after the speaker and bezel are secured to the panel. The design uses the same speaker cutout template supplied with the compatible speaker rather than requiring a separate grille-specific speaker opening.

Use the GS-25 when building or refreshing a Punch V2 installation that has room for a 0.85-inch grille mounting height. It can be paired with the compatible speaker's existing mounting hardware and installation plan, while the supplied screws support GS-25 bezel installation. For a recessed appearance instead, Rockford Fosgate offers the separately sold GF-25 flush-mount grille.

Design & Installation

The GS-25 uses a two-piece grille arrangement consisting of grille mesh and a grille bezel. Each grille has a 3.73-inch outer diameter, 2.54-inch cutout diameter, and 0.85-inch mounting height. The pair is specified at 2.47 oz (70 g).

Confirm that the selected compatible speaker and mounting location have sufficient surface clearance before installation. Use the supplied cutout template at actual size, orient the bezel notch at the bottom, secure the speaker and bezel to the panel with the supplied screws, then align the logo and snap the keyed grille mesh into place. Check for obstructions behind the panel, route speaker wiring safely, and test the system after installation.
