The Rockford Fosgate GNRL-REAR is a vehicle-specific rear-speaker expansion kit for select Polaris GENERAL side-by-sides. It adds a pair of enclosed 6.5-inch rear speakers to a compatible Rockford Fosgate GNRL-STAGE2 or GNRL-STAGE3 audio system. The kit is designed for riders who want to extend music coverage to rear-seat passengers without assembling a custom speaker-pod solution.

This package uses a pair of RM1652W-MB Element Ready moto-can speakers, each combining a 6.5-inch woofer with a 1-inch aluminum-dome tweeter. Their sealed enclosures help provide focused full-range output while protecting the speaker assemblies in exposed powersports installations. With 75 watts RMS handling per speaker, the pair is intended to match the rear channels of a properly configured compatible system.

The speakers use polypropylene woofer cones, thermoplastic-elastomer surrounds, stainless-steel grilles, and UV-inhibited high-density polyethylene enclosures. These materials are selected for use around water, dust, mud, sunlight, and changing outdoor conditions. The Element Ready construction makes the kit appropriate for trail-oriented GENERAL installations rather than conventional interior-only vehicle use.

Rockford Fosgate supplies the GNRL-REAR with black PM-CL3B die-cast clamps for the Polaris Lock & Ride roll cage and a GENERAL-specific rear-speaker harness. This vehicle-oriented hardware simplifies placement on the cage while allowing the speaker enclosures to be aimed toward the passenger area. Safety lanyards are included with the moto-can speaker assemblies for added retention during installation.

The GNRL-REAR is an upgrade-path component, not a standalone complete audio system. It is made to integrate with an existing compatible GNRL-STAGE2 or GNRL-STAGE3 package, which supplies the appropriate source, amplification, and system connections. This makes it a practical addition for GENERAL owners who initially installed a front-focused system and later want rear audio coverage.

The included RM1652W-MB speakers use sealed high-density polyethylene enclosures with UV inhibitors, stainless-steel grilles, and black finishes. Each enclosure houses a polypropylene woofer with a thermoplastic-elastomer surround and a bridge-mounted aluminum-dome tweeter. The assembly is designed for cage-mounted powersports use and offers adjustable speaker positioning after mounting.

Install the kit only on a compatible Polaris GENERAL already equipped with a GNRL-STAGE2 or GNRL-STAGE3 system. Use the supplied PM-CL3B clamps and GENERAL-specific rear harness, route wiring away from sharp edges and moving parts, and verify clearance before final tightening. A 100 Hz high-pass filter is recommended to maintain the stated speaker power-handling capability, and Rockford Fosgate lists an estimated installation time of one hour.
