The MJP1022 combines a rigid paper cone, double-stitched foam surround, progressive spider, die-cast basket, and single-sided compression terminals. Its motor structure includes a 120-ounce magnet, 2.5-inch voice coil, cross-drilled front plate, and aluminum shorting ring. The frame outside diameter is 11.23 inches, with a 9.45-inch cutout requirement.

Allow at least 5.72 inches of mounting depth and use an enclosure built for the recommended gross internal volume. A single sealed enclosure is specified at 0.75 cubic feet, while a single vented enclosure is specified at 1.6 cubic feet with a 37 Hz tuning recommendation. Wire both voice coils consistently and use an amplifier that is stable at the chosen 1-ohm or 4-ohm final impedance.
