JBL Stadium 62F 6.5" 2-Way Car Speakers

The JBL Stadium 62F is a pair of 6-1/2-inch two-way coaxial car speakers designed to replace factory door or rear-deck speakers with a higher-output full-range solution. Each speaker combines a glass-fiber woofer and an integrated dome tweeter, avoiding the need to mount separate tweeters or external crossovers. It is a practical option for vehicles where space and installation simplicity are important.

With 85 watts RMS power handling per speaker and a 3-ohm design, the Stadium 62F can be used with a compatible factory radio or an aftermarket amplifier. Its 93 dB sensitivity rating at 2.83V supports efficient output from available system power. An external amplifier can provide additional headroom when the system is set up and powered appropriately.

The Plus One+ glass-fiber woofer cone uses an enlarged effective cone area to move more air within its 6-1/2-inch format. Its hi-roll rubber surround supports controlled cone movement, while the glass-fiber material is engineered for low weight and stiffness. This combination is intended to deliver defined midbass and bass response from typical vehicle speaker locations.

An edge-driven aluminum dome tweeter handles upper-frequency detail through 40 kHz. The angled UniPivot tweeter can be rotated after installation to help direct sound toward the listening area, which is useful when speakers are mounted low in doors. A built-in tweeter-level setting provides a choice of 0 dB or -3 dB output to better suit the installation location.

The Stadium 62F is a coaxial speaker pair rather than a component system, so the tweeters are integrated with the woofers. It includes multi-hole adapter rings, foam gaskets, screws, speed clips, logo badges, stickers, and an owner's manual. Grilles are not included, making these speakers best suited to installations that retain factory grilles or use compatible vehicle-specific grilles.

Design & Installation

The Stadium 62F uses a Plus One+ glass-fiber woofer cone with a hi-roll rubber surround and an edge-driven aluminum dome tweeter. The coaxial layout keeps the tweeter integrated into the speaker assembly, while the angled tweeter is designed to be adjustable after mounting. JBL specifies a 3-ohm nominal impedance, 45 Hz–40 kHz frequency response, and 93 dB sensitivity at 2.83V.

Confirm available mounting depth, cutout size, window clearance, and vehicle-specific fitment before installation. Multi-hole adapter rings and foam gaskets are included to assist with mounting, but vehicle-specific brackets or wiring adapters may still be needed. Use a compatible amplifier or radio channel, observe speaker polarity, and retain or provide protective grilles because grilles are not supplied.
