The Infinity REF607F is a pair of 6.5-inch, two-way coaxial car speakers designed to replace factory door or rear-deck speakers. It provides a direct speaker-upgrade option for vehicles that use this common size while retaining a compact mounting profile. The set is intended for listeners who want improved detail and output from a factory or aftermarket audio system.

Each speaker combines a polypropylene woofer with a separate textile dome tweeter in a coaxial layout. This arrangement lets a single mounting location reproduce both midrange and high-frequency information. The edge-driven tweeter is designed to provide clear, smooth high-frequency reproduction, including at higher listening levels.

Infinity uses a Plus One™ woofer cone design that increases cone area relative to conventional designs in the same speaker class. More active cone area supports efficient output and low-frequency performance from a compact 6.5-inch speaker. A hi-roll rubber surround supports the woofer cone during operation.

The REF607F is rated for 60 watts RMS and 180 watts peak power per speaker, with a 53 Hz to 21 kHz frequency response. Its 3-ohm nominal impedance is part of Infinity's True 4 Ohm architecture, intended to work with the resistance of typical vehicle speaker wiring. This makes the speakers suitable for many factory-radio upgrades as well as systems powered by an external amplifier.

An adjustable tweeter output setting provides a 3 dB adjustment for adapting the high-frequency level to the speaker location and listener preference. The package includes adapter rings, mounting hardware, foam tape, and an owner's manual to support installation. Verify the factory opening, mounting depth, and required vehicle-specific brackets or harnesses before purchase.

Design & Installation

The REF607F uses polypropylene woofer cones with hi-roll rubber surrounds and 1-inch edge-driven textile dome tweeters. Its compact round frame has a 6-1/4-inch external diameter, while the speaker itself has a 5-inch mounting cutout requirement. Grilles are not included with this model.

Confirm that the vehicle accepts a 6.5-inch round speaker and has at least 2-1/16 inches of mounting-depth clearance. Use the supplied adapter rings, foam mounting tape, screws, and speed clips as appropriate, but vehicle-specific mounting brackets or wiring harnesses may still be needed. For amplified systems, match the amplifier output appropriately to the 60-watt RMS rating per speaker.
