The Infinity REF607CF is a 6.5-inch, 2-way component speaker system designed to replace factory door speakers with separately mounted woofers and tweeters. Its component layout lets installers position the tweeters higher in the vehicle for a more focused front soundstage. Each system uses 6.5-inch Plus One+ polypropylene woofers and separate 3/4-inch edge-driven textile dome tweeters. The larger cone-area design is intended to support useful midbass and midrange output from a standard-size mounting location. Textile tweeters are engineered for clear, controlled high-frequency reproduction without relying on a coaxial tweeter position.

The REF607CF is rated for 90 watts of continuous power handling and 270 watts peak power handling. Its 93 dB sensitivity helps it work with factory radios, aftermarket receivers, or a properly matched external amplifier. The 3-ohm nominal impedance is part of Infinity's True Four Ohm Impedance approach, accounting for typical speaker-wire resistance in an automotive installation.

External crossover networks divide the signal at a 5 kHz crossover point, directing appropriate frequencies to the woofer and tweeter. The crossover includes a 0 dB or +3 dB tweeter-level setting, giving the installer a way to adjust treble presence for the mounting location. This can be useful when tweeters are installed low in doors, high in sail panels, or in factory dash locations.

The system includes two woofers, two tweeters, and two crossover networks for a complete front-stage speaker upgrade. Adapter rings and Starfish mounting brackets support a range of installation approaches, while the separate driver design allows more placement options than a conventional coaxial speaker. The REF607CF uses polypropylene Plus One+ woofer cones with hi-roll rubber surrounds, paired with textile edge-driven dome tweeters. Its separate crossover networks use selectable tweeter attenuation settings and are compact enough to be mounted in a protected location. The woofers have a 6-1/4-inch external diameter, while the component design separates high-frequency placement from the door-mounted woofer.

Confirm the vehicle's available cutout diameter, mounting depth, door-panel clearance, and wiring path before installation. The woofers require a 5-inch cutout and 2-1/16 inches of mounting depth; adapter rings are included for various openings. Mount each crossover securely, wire each woofer and tweeter to its assigned crossover terminals, and use the 0 dB or +3 dB setting after listening from the driver's seat.
