The Hifonics ZS65C Zeus is a 6.5-inch, 2-way component speaker system designed for vehicle audio upgrades. It separates the midwoofer and tweeter so installers can place high frequencies closer to the listener while retaining midbass output from the door or panel location. The ZS65C combines 6.5-inch Alpha-Cellulose woofer cones with 1-inch Neo-Mylar soft-dome tweeters. The specified frequency response is 55 Hz to 20 kHz, with an 88 dB sensitivity rating. A moisture-resistant rubber surround is used around the woofer cone for durability in vehicle-door environments.

A passive Butterworth crossover network divides frequencies between the midwoofer and tweeter. The included in-line external crossover uses a 12 dB design and is specified at 2 kHz. This allows the separate drivers to be wired as a matched component system rather than as independent speakers.

The ZS65C is suited to front-door, rear-panel, or custom component-speaker applications where mounting space is available. Design & Installation

The ZS65C uses anti-resonant stamped-steel baskets, ferrite magnets, pure-copper voice coils, and Kapton formers. Its woofer assembly also incorporates high-temperature adhesive, an epoxy-infused natural-fiber spider, and an Overcoil cooling design. Spade terminals allow the use of spade connectors or direct soldering.

Confirm a 5.59-inch mounting cutout and at least 2.12 inches of chassis-depth clearance before mounting the 6.5-inch midwoofers. Mount the included tweeters using the supplied hardware, secure the in-line crossover away from window mechanisms and excessive moisture, and observe correct polarity throughout the wiring.
