The Hertz Mille Pro MPX 690.3 is a pair of 6x9-inch three-way coaxial car speakers designed for full-range rear-deck applications. It combines a woofer, a dedicated tweeter, and a supertweeter in each speaker to provide broad frequency coverage from a single mounting location. This makes it a practical upgrade for vehicles with factory 6x9 speaker positions where stronger output and more high-frequency extension are desired.

Rated at 130 watts continuous power handling and 260 watts peak per speaker, the MPX 690.3 is intended for systems that can support a substantial 4-ohm speaker load. Its 94 dB SPL sensitivity helps it produce useful output with compatible aftermarket amplification or a capable head unit. The integrated crossover separates the driver ranges at specified frequencies, so no separate external passive crossover is required for normal use.

The woofer uses a pressed-pulp cone reinforced with cotton fibers, paired with a large rubber surround for controlled excursion. A 38 mm pure-copper voice coil on a Polyamide former is designed to manage sustained power while supporting dynamic playback. The high-density flux ferrite woofer motor and low-carbon iron plates are part of the speaker's high-power design.

For upper frequencies, the MPX 690.3 uses a 35 mm Tetolon-dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet and a 29 mm Tetolon-dome supertweeter. The tweeter faceplate geometry is engineered to support off-axis response, an important consideration for horizontal rear-deck mounting. Together, the two high-frequency drivers extend the rated response to 24 kHz.

An aluminum-alloy basket, radial venting, and an anti-vibration rubber magnet cover support the speaker's mechanical design. The package includes protective metal-mesh grilles for installations where the speakers are exposed. Match the speakers to a vehicle with suitable 6x9 mounting space and verify depth, opening, and grille clearance before installation.

The MPX 690.3 uses a pressed-pulp-and-cotton-fiber cone, large rubber surround, high-density flux ferrite woofer magnet, neodymium tweeter magnet, and aluminum-alloy basket. Its 38 mm woofer voice coil is pure copper wound on a Polyamide former, while the tweeter and supertweeter use Tetolon domes. Radial basket venting and a rubber magnet cover are incorporated to manage operating heat and unwanted vibration.

These speakers are optimized for rear-deck mounting and require a compatible 6x9 opening with sufficient depth and clearance. Confirm the 241 mm by 223 mm outer dimensions, 90 mm mounting depth dimension, and the vehicle's mounting-hole pattern before ordering. Wire each speaker with correct polarity to a 4-ohm-compatible source or amplifier, and avoid exceeding the 130-watt continuous power rating per speaker.
