The Hertz K165 is a 6.5-inch, two-way component speaker system designed for front-stage upgrades in vehicles with separate woofer and tweeter locations. It replaces basic factory speakers with dedicated woofers and tweeters for more defined placement of midrange and high-frequency sound. Its 4-ohm design is suited to compatible factory radios or aftermarket amplification.

The system uses separate V 165 woofers and T 24 tweeters, allowing the tweeters to be positioned higher in the vehicle when suitable mounting locations are available. This layout can help direct higher frequencies toward the listening area rather than keeping all sound low in the doors. It is a practical option for OEM-style upgrades where component-speaker mounting provisions already exist.

Each woofer uses a water-repellent pressed-paper V-cone with a foam surround. The cone profile is engineered for off-axis response, while the foam surround supports the woofer's sensitivity and bass response. A 25 mm pure-copper voice coil and high-flux ferrite magnet support its stated 75-watt continuous power handling.

The T 24 tweeter combines a 24 mm PEI dome with a neodymium magnet in a compact design. Its annular acoustic lens is designed to improve off-axis performance, which is useful where tweeters cannot be aimed directly at the listener. The tweeter wiring includes the system's integrated 6 dB/octave crossover.

With a 55 Hz to 23 kHz stated frequency response and 93.5 dB SPL sensitivity, the K165 is intended as a full-range component set for a vehicle's front channels. It can be used as the primary speaker upgrade in a simple system or paired with a separate subwoofer for deeper low-frequency output. Design & Installation

Connect the integrated crossover-equipped tweeter wiring as directed in the owner's manual, and use the supplied tweeter mounting parts for flush or surface-style placement.
