Silicone-insulated lead wires, nickel-plated corrosion-resistant terminals, and a sealed built-in crossover are intended to support use in marine environments. The crossover also incorporates a resettable solid-state tweeter protection circuit.

These speakers are optimized for infinite-baffle applications, making them appropriate for installation in properly supported boat panels, consoles, or speaker locations without a dedicated enclosure. The tone-on-tone mesh grille uses a twist-and-lock retention system for a finished appearance and speaker protection. The HEX6-5M-TC combines a polypropylene woofer cone with UV inhibitors, a PEI tweeter dome, a ferrite woofer magnet, and a neodymium tweeter magnet. Its total-black, sound-transparent mesh grille is designed to complement dark marine interiors and exterior panels. Corrosion-resistant nickel-plated terminals and silicone-insulated lead wires support the speaker's marine-oriented construction.

Confirm the available cutout diameter, mounting depth, and front clearance before installation. The speaker requires a 128 mm mounting cutout and 60.5 mm mounting depth, while the overall outside diameter is 172 mm. Use a compatible 4-ohm marine source unit or amplifier, observe correct polarity at the terminals, and install the speakers in a rigid infinite-baffle panel for their intended application.
