The Hertz CK 165 F is a 6.5-inch, two-way component speaker system designed for vehicle locations where conventional replacement speakers may be too deep. Its flat-profile C 165 F woofers are intended to simplify upgrades in shallow factory door and panel locations. The kit combines separate woofers, tweeters, and passive crossovers for a more flexible installation than a coaxial speaker arrangement.

This system is suited to listeners replacing factory speakers while retaining practical fitment in vehicles with limited mounting depth. The 4-ohm system is rated for 90 watts continuous power handling and 270 watts peak power, making it appropriate for compatible aftermarket amplification or a capable factory or aftermarket radio. The C 165 F woofer uses an SPP-M semi-pressed paper cone reinforced with mica, balancing low moving mass with controlled rigidity. The woofer uses a high-density ferrite magnet and a pure-copper voice coil on an aluminum former.

For upper-frequency reproduction, the CK 165 F includes separate C 26 tweeters with 26 mm soft Tetolon domes and neodymium magnets. The crossover provides 0 dB and +3 dB tweeter-level settings to help balance the high frequencies for the installation location. Design & Installation

The C 165 F woofer uses a high-density ferrite magnet, low-carbon pole plates, and a 25 mm pure-copper voice coil wound on an aluminum former. Its semi-pressed paper-mica cone is paired with a shallow basket profile, while the C 26 tweeter uses a Tetolon dome, 20 mm voice coil, and neodymium magnet. Included woofer grilles use an ABS frame with a metal mesh grille for speaker protection.

Confirm the vehicle's speaker opening, available depth, mounting-hole pattern, and factory wiring before installation. The woofer's listed mounting depth is 43.5 mm (1.71 inches), while the external crossovers require a secure, dry mounting location and wiring from the amplifier or head unit to each crossover. Use the supplied tweeter mounting hardware as appropriate, observe polarity markings, and select the crossover tweeter level after listening from the driver's seat.
