The Fender MUSTANG LT50 is a 50-watt digital guitar combo amplifier built for home practice, rehearsals, recording, and smaller performance settings. Its single 12-inch Fender Special Design speaker provides a self-contained guitar rig without requiring a separate cabinet. It is suited to players who want a broad range of usable guitar sounds in one straightforward amplifier.

The LT50 uses selectable amp voices, 20 amp models, and 25 onboard effects to cover clean, driven, modulated, ambient, and high-gain sounds. It includes 30 factory presets plus 30 additional preset slots for user-created or downloaded sounds. Presets can be edited, renamed, saved, moved, cleared, backed up, and restored.

A 1.8-inch color display and dedicated physical controls make it practical to adjust gain, volume, treble, middle, bass, and master volume from the amp. The onboard encoder and utility buttons support preset selection, saving, menu access, delay tap tempo, and tuning. A built-in chromatic tuner is available from the front panel and mutes speaker output while tuning.

For practice, the LT50 includes a stereo auxiliary input for an external audio source and a stereo headphone output that mutes the speaker when headphones are connected. A USB port supports audio recording to a computer and use with Fender Tone desktop software for Mac and PC. The USB recording output is stereo, while the rear-panel line output is mono and balanced when used with a TRS cable.

The amplifier can serve as a compact standalone guitar setup or as a front end for recording and external sound equipment. Its rear line output provides a practical connection point for recording gear or external sound systems. Players who want hands-free control can add a compatible optional four-button Fender footswitch for preset access, effects switching, delay tap tempo, and tuner operation.

Design & Installation

The MUSTANG LT50 uses a wood enclosure with textured vinyl covering, black grille cloth, black plastic control knobs, and a molded plastic strap handle with black powder-coated caps. Its digital amplifier platform is housed in a black combo cabinet measuring 17 inches wide, 16.5 inches high, and 8.5 inches deep. The amplifier weighs 19.8 pounds.

Connect a guitar to the front-panel 1/4-inch instrument input and use the included power cord with a grounded outlet matching the marked voltage requirements. Connect headphones to the 1/8-inch stereo output for silent practice, or use the 1/8-inch stereo auxiliary input for backing tracks. For computer recording or Fender Tone desktop use, a micro USB cable is required and is not included; an optional compatible four-button footswitch connects at the rear panel.
