The Cerwin-Vega H7652 is a pair of 6.5-inch HED Series 2-way coaxial car speakers designed for replacing compatible factory door or rear-deck speakers. Its coaxial layout places a tweeter over the woofer, allowing both drivers to fit within a single speaker location. The result is a straightforward full-range speaker upgrade for vehicles with suitable mounting space.

Each H7652 speaker is rated for 60 watts RMS and 320 watts maximum power handling. The pair is rated for 120 watts RMS and 640 watts maximum power handling. Its 4-ohm nominal impedance is suited to common vehicle audio systems and compatible aftermarket amplification.

A polypropylene woofer cone and treated foam surround form the low- and mid-frequency section of the speaker. The centrally mounted 1-inch balanced PEI dome tweeter is intended to handle high-frequency detail within the same assembly. This 2-way arrangement keeps vocals, instruments, and high-frequency content together in one compact replacement speaker.

The H7652 uses a stamped-steel basket and ferrite magnet motor structure. It also has a 1-inch high-temperature voice coil and an internal crossover. These elements support a conventional coaxial-speaker design without requiring a separate external passive crossover.

Design & Installation

The H7652 combines a polypropylene cone, treated foam surround, mylar diaphragm material, ferrite magnet, and stamped-steel basket. A balanced PEI dome tweeter is mounted concentrically with the woofer. Speaker grilles are included for installations where grille protection is needed.

Verify that the vehicle accepts a 5.7-inch cutout and approximately 2.24 inches of top-mount depth before installation. Mount the speaker securely to a flat baffle and seal around the frame to reduce air leaks. When routing replacement wire through metal panels, use grommets and observe correct positive and negative polarity.
