The Rockford Fosgate Prime R152-S is a 5.25-inch, 2-way component speaker system designed for replacing factory vehicle speakers. It separates the woofer and tweeter so installers can place high frequencies higher in the cabin when suitable mounting locations are available. The set is intended for vehicles that use 5.25-inch speaker locations and need a compact component upgrade.

Each side is rated for 40 watts RMS and 80 watts maximum power handling at a nominal 4-ohm impedance. With a 58 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response, the system covers midrange and treble duties while leaving the deepest bass to larger speakers or a subwoofer when used in a full system. Its 85 dB sensitivity supports use with compatible factory or aftermarket amplification.

The R152-S uses Mica-injected polypropylene woofer cones with foam surrounds. This material combination is paired with a stamped steel basket to provide a practical, lightweight foundation for daily-use car audio installations. The separate Mylar balanced-dome tweeters are designed to reproduce upper-frequency detail.

An in-line tweeter crossover simplifies the component-system wiring layout by filtering high frequencies for the tweeters. The specified tweeter high-pass crossover point is 12 kHz at 6 dB per octave. This approach allows the woofers and tweeters to work together without requiring a separate external crossover box.

The kit is suited to front-door or other compatible factory-replacement locations where separate tweeter placement is desired. Its 4.76-inch woofer cutout requirement and 1.91-inch woofer mounting depth should be checked against the vehicle before purchase. Grilles, tweeter mounting pieces, and installation hardware are included for a more complete installation package.

The R152-S combines Mica-injected polypropylene woofer cones, foam surrounds, and stamped steel baskets. The component set includes 13 mm Mylar balanced-dome tweeters, while the woofer uses a 1.0-inch voice coil. Grilles and trim rings are included with the system.

Confirm the available mounting depth, 4.76-inch woofer cutout, and vehicle-specific speaker fitment before installation. The woofers have a 1.91-inch mounting depth, while the tweeters have a 1.06-inch mounting depth. The included tweeter hardware supports flush, surface, and angle mounting; use the in-line crossovers when wiring the tweeters.
