The Infinity REF507CF is a 5.25-inch, two-way component speaker system designed to replace factory door or dash speakers with a system that separates midrange and high-frequency reproduction. Its separate woofers, tweeters, and crossover networks give installers more flexibility than a conventional coaxial speaker. It is suited to listeners building a more detailed front soundstage while retaining compact mounting requirements.

This system is intended for vehicles with space for 5.25-inch woofers and separately mounted tweeters. The component layout allows the tweeters to be positioned closer to ear level when suitable mounting locations are available. That flexibility can help address the limited imaging and high-frequency placement common with factory speaker locations.

The REF507CF combines polypropylene woofer cones, rubber surrounds, and 3/4-inch textile edge-driven dome tweeters. Its response is specified from 67 Hz to 21 kHz, with a sensitivity rating of 93 dB at 2.83V/1m. The passive crossover point is specified at 5 kHz to divide the signal between the woofer and tweeter.

Infinity Plus One woofer-cone architecture uses a larger effective cone area than conventional designs of similar size. The added radiating area is intended to support low-frequency output and midrange performance from the compact woofer. A 3-ohm nominal impedance is used across the system.

For system tuning, the included crossover network provides a selectable 0 dB or +3 dB tweeter output setting. This lets the installer tailor treble level for tweeter placement and cabin acoustics. With 65 watts continuous and 195 watts peak power handling, the REF507CF can be used as a focused front-stage upgrade with an appropriate source unit or external amplification.

Design & Installation

The REF507CF uses polypropylene woofer cones with rubber surrounds and separate textile dome tweeters. Its component design includes external passive crossover networks rather than placing all drivers on a single speaker frame. The woofers have a 5-1/8-inch external diameter, while the included crossover networks provide the system's tweeter-level selection.

Confirm the vehicle's available opening, as the woofer requires a 4-1/2-inch mounting cutout and 1-15/16-inch mounting depth. The package includes flush- and surface-mount tweeter hardware, allowing the tweeters to be positioned according to the vehicle and installation plan. Connect each woofer and tweeter through its supplied crossover network, observe polarity markings, and select the 0 dB or +3 dB tweeter setting before reinstalling trim panels.
