The Rockford Fosgate PM300X2 is a compact 2-channel marine and motorsports amplifier designed to add dedicated power where a source unit alone is not enough. It delivers up to 100 watts RMS per channel at 4 ohms, making it suitable for powering a pair of compatible full-range speakers. It can also be bridged to run a single 4-ohm subwoofer with 300 watts RMS.

This amplifier is intended for boat, powersports, and other 12-volt audio systems exposed to demanding environments. Its Element Ready design uses a marine-grade two-part epoxy coating on the circuit board and stainless-steel hardware. These measures support installation in systems where moisture, corrosion, vibration, and outdoor conditions are practical concerns.

The PM300X2 uses a Class A/B circuit topology and provides selectable high-pass, low-pass, and all-pass crossover operation. This gives installers flexibility to configure it for coaxial speakers, component speakers, or a subwoofer application. The crossover range from 50 Hz to 250 Hz helps tailor the amplifier to the speakers and system layout being used.

For system tuning, the amplifier includes onboard Punch EQ controls for bass and treble adjustment. Its C.L.E.A.N. setup system uses input and output clip indicators to help set levels with compatible equipment. High-level input capability with an Auto Turn-On circuit also supports integration with source units that do not provide conventional RCA preamp outputs.

The PM300X2 fits into a moderate-size audio upgrade where compact dimensions and flexible channel configuration are important. RCA pass-through outputs can feed an additional amplifier in an expanded system. It may also be used in stereo/mono operation when passive crossovers are used on all speakers, allowing a more specialized system configuration.

The PM300X2 uses a cast aluminum heatsink with convection cooling and a stealth top-mounted control panel. Its circuit board has a marine-grade two-part epoxy coating, while the hardware is stainless steel. Protection features include over-current and short-circuit protection, plus a muted turn-on design.

Use 8 AWG to 4 AWG power wire and 8 AWG to 18 AWG speaker wire with the amplifier's captive C-clamp terminals. A 50-amp fuse is recommended and is not included. Configure the amplifier in stereo for two compatible speaker channels, or bridge it only with a 4-ohm load; passive crossovers are required when using stereo/mono operation simultaneously.
