The P2D2-15 can be used in sealed or ported enclosures, with manufacturer recommendations available for each alignment. An optional integrated grille can be used with the supplied-style trim-ring design.

Allow for a 13.9-inch cutout diameter and 7.34 inches of mounting depth before selecting an enclosure. Rockford Fosgate specifies a 1.58-cubic-foot sealed enclosure or a 2.66-cubic-foot ported enclosure for this driver, before accounting for applicable construction details. Wire both voice coils only to an amplifier configuration that is stable at the resulting final impedance, and use an enclosure built for a 15-inch subwoofer.
