The elevated motor structure is designed to aid cooling, and the single-stacked magnet motor has a 7.89-inch magnet diameter.

Plan for a 13.98-inch mounting cutout and at least 7.48 inches of mounting depth, plus room for wiring and enclosure clearance. Cerwin Vega specifies a 4.0 cubic-foot optimum sealed box and 5.0 cubic-foot optimum ported box; enclosure displacement should also be considered. Use an external amplifier matched to the subwoofer's RMS rating and to the final voice-coil wiring load.
