The Rockford Fosgate M2-200X2 is a compact two-channel marine amplifier designed to add clean, dedicated power to an outdoor audio system. This full-range Class D amplifier produces 50 watts RMS per channel at 4 ohms or 100 watts RMS per channel at 2 ohms. It can also be bridged to deliver 200 watts RMS to one 4-ohm load. That flexibility makes it useful for powering a pair of marine speakers or a compatible single speaker load in a compact system.

The M2-200X2 uses a full-range Class D design to reduce current demand compared with less-efficient amplifier designs. Its 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response supports music playback across the full audible range. Adjustable high-pass, low-pass, and all-pass crossover settings help tailor the amplifier to the speakers and system layout.

Rockford Fosgate C.L.E.A.N. input and output clip indicators assist with setting source volume and amplifier gain. The indicators identify when input or output clipping begins, helping the installer set levels more accurately. The amplifier also uses a P.O.W.E.R. supply design that increases output as supply voltage increases.

For system integration, the M2-200X2 accepts both RCA low-level and high-level speaker inputs. RCA pass-through outputs can feed an additional amplifier without requiring another long RCA run from the source unit. Auto remote turn-on capability is available when using high-level inputs, which can simplify integration with compatible factory or marine source units.

The M2-200X2 combines a UV-stable powder-coated cast-aluminum heatsink with a conformal-coated circuit board and zinc-nickel-plated marine-grade brass terminals. Its compact chassis measures 1.9 inches high by 6.8 inches wide by 8.1 inches deep. Convection cooling and corrosion-resistant connection hardware support installation in marine and outdoor audio environments.

Use 4 AWG power and ground wiring, up to 8 AWG speaker wiring, and a separately purchased 30-amp fuse. Mount the amplifier where it remains accessible for adjustment and has at least 1 inch of air space around the heatsink for cooling; do not mount it in an engine compartment. Use either the high-level input or low-level RCA input, not both, and use a 4-ohm load when the amplifier is bridged.
