Rockford Fosgate M2-10H 10" Marine Horn Speakers

The Rockford Fosgate M2-10H is a pair of white 10-inch, 2-way marine-grade speakers designed for open-air boat and powersports listening. Its horn-loaded configuration is intended to project sound over distance where conventional cabin-style speakers may be less effective. The speakers are also suited to select UTV installations where durable, high-output audio is needed.

Each M2-10H combines a 10-inch full-range driver with an integrated 1-inch high-efficiency horn tweeter. With a 20 Hz to 25 kHz frequency response and 97 dB sensitivity at 2.83V/1m, the design is voiced for clear playback in outdoor environments. The fully sealed integrated concealed crossover manages the transition between the driver and tweeter.

These speakers handle up to 300 watts RMS and 1,200 watts peak at a 4-ohm nominal impedance. Their horn-loaded design supports long-range sound projection for listeners positioned away from the mounting location. They are a practical fit for wake, tower, deck, and other marine audio applications where direct sound coverage matters.

Color Optix RGB illumination is integrated for coordinated lighting in a compatible Rockford Fosgate system. The lighting circuit operates from 9 to 16 volts, and the speakers can be connected through the optional PMX-RGB Color Optix controller for expanded lighting control. RGB harnesses are included, while the lighting controller is sold separately.

The M2-10H is Element Ready for marine use and incorporates corrosion- and UV-conscious materials throughout its construction. It includes removable white Sport grilles plus stainless-steel grille inserts, allowing the appearance to be changed without replacing the speakers. Pair these speakers with a properly matched 4-ohm marine amplifier, suitable speaker wiring, and compatible Color Optix components when lighting control is desired.

Design & Installation

The M2-10H uses an injection-molded mineral-filled polypropylene cone with UV inhibitors, a UV- and salt-fog-resistant TPE surround, and an aramid-fiber spider. Its PA66 frame contains 30% glass fill and UV inhibitors, while the vented motor uses a water-repelling nano-coated mesh screen. Gold-plated marine-grade brass terminals, sealed crossover construction, and UV-stable grille materials support use around water and sun exposure.

Plan for a 9.25-inch cutout, 4.66-inch mounting depth, and 11.53-inch overall diameter at each location. The mounting pattern uses six screws at 60-degree spacing on a 10.08-inch screw mounting diameter; stainless mounting screws and driver bits are included. For Color Optix hardwiring, use at least 20-gauge wire, a fused 12-volt supply, and never connect the lighting directly to 12 volts without the specified wiring method or compatible controller.
