Each MXA80L speaker is rated for 60 watts RMS and 120 watts peak power handling, with 89 dB sensitivity and 4-ohm impedance. The two-way coaxial design combines the main woofer and tweeter in one mounting location for a straightforward full-range speaker installation. A swivel-mount aluminum tweeter helps direct high frequencies toward the listening area.

For outdoor durability, Memphis uses an injection-molded poly cone, butyl rubber surround, and high-temperature ABS composite basket. The speakers are UV coated and described as water- and element-resistant for marine and powersports use.
