The Rockford Fosgate GS-525 is a pair of 5.25-inch surface-mount speaker grilles made for a finished, protective installation over compatible Punch V2 speakers. Each grille mounts on the face of the speaker location rather than recessing into the panel. This makes the GS-525 a practical accessory for installations where the added grille height is acceptable.

These grilles are designed specifically for Rockford Fosgate P1V2-5 speakers and are not presented as universal speaker covers. They help shield the speaker area from incidental contact while giving the installation a clean exterior appearance. The pair is suited to vehicle audio upgrades where the speakers need visible protection after mounting.

Because the GS-525 is a grille accessory rather than a loudspeaker or amplifier, it adds no power handling, tuning, or signal-processing function to the system. Its role is physical protection and trim integration around the compatible 5.25-inch speaker. Use it with a properly installed P1V2-5 speaker to retain the intended speaker system configuration.

The surface-mount assembly uses a grille bezel and a keyed, snap-in grille mesh. This design conceals the mounting arrangement once the mesh is attached and allows the grille to be removed when access to the speaker is needed. The supplied self-tapping screws secure the bezel during installation.

The GS-525 is a useful finishing component when building a Rockford Fosgate Punch V2 speaker installation from the ground up or updating an existing compatible speaker location. Design & Installation

The GS-525 uses black grille mesh and bezels with a surface-mount profile. Rockford Fosgate lists the installed mounting height at 1.07 inches, with a 5.49-inch outer diameter. The grille mesh is removable and can be painted to better coordinate with an installation.

Install the compatible speaker using the supplied cutout template and secure the speaker/grille-bezel assembly with the included eight #4 Phillips self-tapping screws. Confirm that there are no obstructions behind the panel before cutting, then align the keyed mesh and snap it into the bezel after the speaker is mounted. A drill with hole saw or jigsaw, screwdriver, measuring tape, and pencil or marker are specified installation tools.
