The Rockford Fosgate GF-525 is a pair of 5.25-inch flush-mount speaker grilles designed to give compatible Punch speakers a clean, low-profile finished appearance. Rather than sitting on top of a panel, the grille assembly installs flat against the mounting surface for an integrated look. It is intended for custom vehicle, marine, UTV, and RV installations where a discreet speaker presentation is preferred.

These grilles are made specifically for Rockford Fosgate P1V2-5 speakers. They provide a finished protective layer over the speaker while eliminating visible grille-mounting hardware from the front of the installation. The result is a cleaner visual treatment for panels, kick pods, door builds, and other custom mounting locations.

The GF-525 is a grille system, not a speaker, amplifier, or crossover. Its role in a system is to protect and finish a compatible 5.25-inch speaker installation without changing the speaker's intended application. The pair is finished in black and can be removed and painted to coordinate with an interior or custom panel. With a 5.35-inch cutout requirement and 6.22-inch outer diameter, the GF-525 should be planned into the panel before cutting. It is a practical finishing upgrade for P1V2-5 installations that need both speaker protection and a flush-mounted appearance.

Design & Installation

The GF-525 uses grille mesh, metal bezels, C-Backers, and flange locator rings to create a finished flush-mounted speaker treatment. The metal bezel and recessed grille arrangement conceal the front mounting hardware after assembly. Its black grille components provide a neutral appearance and may be painted if a different finish is desired.

Use the included cutout template to mark the panel, then verify that there are no obstructions behind the mounting location before cutting. The specified cutout diameter is 5.35 inches, and the assembly requires 0.94 inch of mounting depth behind the surface. Install the C-Backer and metal bezel with the supplied machine screws, attach the compatible P1V2-5 speaker, then align and press the grille mesh into the bezel's keyed slots.
