Memphis SRX300.4V 4-Channel Car Amplifier

The Memphis SRX300.4V is a four-channel car audio amplifier designed to add dedicated power to factory-replacement or aftermarket speakers. It supplies 50 watts RMS to each channel at 4 ohms or 75 watts RMS per channel at 2 ohms. This makes it a practical choice for front-and-rear speaker upgrades that need more output and control than a head unit can provide.

Its four-channel layout supports several system approaches, including powering four speakers or using bridged channel pairs for two 4-ohm loads. In bridged operation, it delivers 150 watts RMS per pair at 4 ohms. The amplifier is stable to 2 ohms per channel in stereo operation and 4 ohms when bridged.

Independent front and rear control sections help tailor the amplifier to the speakers connected to each pair of channels. Selectable high-pass, full-range, and low-pass crossover modes allow it to support full-range speakers, components, or appropriate bridged applications. Selectable bass boost settings provide another adjustment for system tuning.

The SRX300.4V accepts both RCA preamp signals and speaker-level signals, allowing it to work with many aftermarket and factory audio systems. A 4-channel or 2-channel input-mode switch can simplify installations when the source unit has only a front-channel signal available. Built-in protection circuitry monitors for short circuits, overheating, and over- or under-voltage conditions.

Design & Installation

The SRX300.4V uses a textured aluminum heatsink with a black finish and integrated LED accent lighting. Its controls, inputs, and status indicator are located on the input side, while internal ATO fuses protect the amplifier. The Power/Protect indicator illuminates blue during normal operation and red when the amplifier enters protection.

Install the amplifier in a dry, ventilated location with clearance for wiring and heat dissipation. Use RCA inputs with an aftermarket source unit or the included speaker-level input harness when connecting to compatible factory speaker wiring. Match connected loads to the amplifier's 2-ohm stereo minimum or 4-ohm bridged minimum, and use the crossover and gain controls during final system setup.
