The Memphis MJP3000.1 is a high-output mono subwoofer amplifier designed for serious bass systems. This amplifier is intended for builders who need a dedicated low-frequency channel rather than a full-range multi-channel amp. Its mono configuration focuses its output on subwoofer duty, with a frequency response specified from 11Hz to 200Hz. Adjustable filtering helps tailor bass output to the enclosure and the rest of the audio system.

Variable low-pass and subsonic filters allow the MJP3000.1 to be set up around the usable range of a subwoofer system. The low-pass crossover adjusts from 32Hz to 200Hz, while the subsonic filter adjusts from 10Hz to 50Hz. A variable bass boost and phase control provide additional tuning options when integrating the amplifier.

The MJP3000.1 uses an extruded aluminum heatsink chassis for its compact high-power form factor. Its MOJO Pro design includes signal inputs for low-level and high-level sources, allowing it to work with many aftermarket and factory-audio integration approaches. RCA preamp outputs also support signal pass-through to another amplifier.

For expanded systems, compatible MJP3000.1 amplifiers can be strapped together. A wired remote level control is included for convenient subwoofer-level adjustment from the front of the vehicle. Because of its power capability, this amplifier is best paired with correctly matched subwoofers and appropriately sized power, ground, fuse, and charging-system components.

Design & Installation

The amplifier is built around an extruded aluminum heatsink chassis and measures 7.5 x 16.8 x 2 inches according to Memphis specifications. It uses set-screw power, ground, remote-turn-on, and speaker terminals, along with RCA signal connections. Blue power and red protect indicators provide basic operating-status feedback.

Use a properly designed 1/0-gauge power and ground installation, with suitable external overcurrent protection near the battery. Match the final subwoofer impedance to the amplifier's rated load and set the crossover, subsonic filter, gain, bass boost, and phase carefully. The included remote level control is useful for level adjustment, but it should not replace correct gain setting during installation.
