Its five-band graphic equalizer covers 50Hz, 125Hz, 900Hz, 2.2kHz, and 16kHz, allowing targeted adjustment of bass, midrange, and treble. Each band offers a boost or cut range of ±12dB. The controls can help compensate for vehicle acoustics and tailor the tonal balance of a multi-speaker system.

The GR-EQ15 uses an active-gain preamp section with adjustable input sensitivity and a master volume control. It is specified for up to 9V RMS maximum output, providing a strong preamp signal for compatible external amplifiers. Separate front, rear, and subwoofer RCA outputs support systems with dedicated amplification zones.

Design & Installation

Install the equalizer in a dry, ventilated location away from heat and moisture, using the supplied mounting brackets and screws. Connect switched 12V power, chassis ground, and a remote turn-on lead, then route RCA cables from the source unit to the equalizer and from its outputs to external amplifiers. Set input sensitivity and EQ controls conservatively at first, then tune the system gradually.
