Audison SPM4 DRC MP Digital Remote Control

The Audison DRC MP is a dashboard-mounted digital remote control for compatible Audison car-audio processors, DSP amplifiers, and multimedia components. It provides direct access to frequently used system adjustments from the driving position instead of requiring a PC for routine changes. This makes it useful in systems where source selection, volume, subwoofer level, or saved DSP tuning presets need to be adjusted during everyday use.

Designed for Audison products using the AC Link control bus or a compatible DRC input, the DRC MP serves as the user interface for the connected component rather than as an audio source, amplifier, or DSP. It can control master volume, subwoofer volume, fader, balance, and available sources. The exact menu options shown depend on the connected Audison equipment and its configuration.

The controller uses a microprocessor-based digital interface with a joystick for menu navigation and adjustment. Its display uses white characters and includes a front light sensor that can automatically adjust display brightness when Day & Night mode is enabled. The keypad can be configured in one of 42 colors to better coordinate with the vehicle dashboard.

For compatible Audison DSP and Prima products, the DRC MP can recall stored DSP memories and access supported settings such as Dynamic EQ, Bass Boost, and AutoIN Level Adjustment. These functions are dependent on the connected product supporting them and being configured accordingly. Up to four stored memories can be recalled when used with compatible Audison DSP or AP Prima equipment.

The DRC MP also supports expanded operation when an Audison bit Play HD is part of the system. Its Player Menu can set the bit Play HD standby delay, while Navi Command lets the joystick browse the player menu. A supplied holder and 4.5 m / 177 in. DRC/AC Link cable support clean mounting and connection in a vehicle installation.

Design & Installation

The DRC MP has a slim 87 x 36 x 11 mm chassis, a matte-black finish, white-character display, and Rubber Touch-finished joystick. A supplied holder measures 92 x 41 mm and is intended to help position the controller neatly on the dashboard or another accessible interior surface. The display includes a light sensor, so the sensor area should remain unobstructed after mounting.

Install the DRC MP only with the supplied DRC/AC Link cable, which measures 4.5 m / 177 in. Connect it to a compatible Audison device with an AC Link bus or DRC input, then configure available functions through the connected product. Route the cable away from sharp metal, heat sources, and moving vehicle parts, and use appropriate protection where wiring passes through metal openings.
