JBL PRV275 Gauge-Style Marine Receiver

The JBL PRV275 is a round, gauge-style marine and powersports receiver designed for installations where a conventional DIN chassis will not fit. Its compact circular format provides a central source unit for boats, side-by-sides, golf carts, and similar 12-volt systems. It combines radio reception, Bluetooth streaming, USB playback, and auxiliary audio in one dashboard-mounted receiver.

This receiver is suited to listeners who want straightforward source selection and physical controls in an exposed-use installation. A rotary encoder handles volume and menu navigation, while the 2.75-inch color TFT display presents source information and compatible ID3 song data. The waterproof faceplate helps support use in marine-oriented dashboards when installed according to the manual.

The built-in four-channel amplifier is rated by JBL at 4 x 45 watts and is stable to 2 ohms. That makes the PRV275 suitable for directly driving compatible speakers in a compact audio system. For expanded systems, its three pairs of RCA pre-outs provide front, rear, and subwoofer signal connections for external amplification.

Source flexibility includes AM, FM, and weather-band radio, Bluetooth audio streaming, USB-drive playback, and an auxiliary input. Design & Installation

The PRV275 uses a round gauge-style design with a 2.75-inch color TFT screen, a rotary encoder, and a waterproof faceplate. Its listed mounting dimensions are a 4.125-inch outside diameter, 3.25-inch mounting depth, and 3.25-inch round cutout. JBL specifies a back-bracket and stud mounting arrangement, and the package includes a mounting gasket.

Install the receiver on a flat mounting surface and use the supplied mounting hardware as directed in the manual. Route the wire harness downward to help reduce water entry at the harness area, and connect the black ground lead to a suitable ground point; the manual recommends the boat battery negative terminal. Disconnect the battery positive cable before wiring, and use the front, rear, and subwoofer RCA outputs when adding external amplifiers.
