JBL MA754 4-Channel Marine Amplifier
$404.06
AUDIO360 AD0C 0 AWG Amplifier Wiring Kit
$78.00
The JBL MA754 is a four-channel marine amplifier designed to add controlled, full-range power to a boat audio system. It provides four channels for front and rear marine speakers, with the option to bridge channel pairs for compatible 4-ohm subwoofer applications. Its compact footprint helps solve installation challenges where available mounting space is limited.
At 14.4V, the MA754 delivers 75 watts RMS to each of four 4-ohm channels, or 100 watts RMS per channel at 2 ohms. For larger drivers or a two-channel setup, it can deliver 200 watts RMS x 2 into 4-ohm bridged loads. This makes it suitable for powering a multi-speaker cockpit system or combining speaker and subwoofer duties in a planned installation.
Variable high-pass and low-pass crossovers are provided for both the front and rear channels. The 32-320 Hz adjustment range lets an installer direct bass away from smaller full-range speakers or set up bridged channels for a compatible subwoofer. Full-range operation is also available when no crossover filtering is needed.
The amplifier accepts both low-level preamp signals and high-level speaker signals, allowing it to work with many aftermarket and factory-installed marine stereos. Balanced Differential Inputs are engineered to reduce noise and distortion and help limit susceptibility to radiated engine noise. A selectable turn-on mode supports configurations using either a remote turn-on lead or high-level input signals.
For expandable systems, the MA754 includes full-range preamp outputs for feeding an additional amplifier without splitters. Built-in protection circuitry monitors for short circuits, high temperature, overvoltage, and undervoltage conditions, with a status LED to indicate a protection condition. The result is a flexible amplifier platform for marine speaker upgrades that need four channels in a low-profile chassis.
Key Features
- Four-Channel Power: Delivers 75 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms and 100 watts RMS x 4 at 2 ohms.
- Bridged Capability: Combines channel pairs to provide 200 watts RMS x 2 into 4-ohm loads at 14.4V.
- Variable Crossovers: Front and rear high-pass and low-pass filters adjust from 32 to 320 Hz.
- Dual Input Compatibility: Accepts low-level preamp signals and high-level speaker signals.
- Full-Range Preamp Outputs: Sends signal to an additional amplifier without requiring splitters.
- Protection Monitoring: Helps protect against shorts, temperature, overvoltage, and undervoltage conditions.
Design & Installation
The MA754 uses a low-profile chassis designed to fit into restricted installation locations. Its Class H amplifier design is intended to deliver output while minimizing current draw. A removable trim and control-panel arrangement provides access to gain, crossover, input-level, and turn-on settings.
Plan the wiring and connections before permanently mounting the amplifier, and choose a location with adequate air circulation. JBL recommends 8-gauge power and ground leads; wiring and hardware are not included. Mount the amplifier with its heat sink positioned for cooling, and use the included mounting screws only after confirming clearance for the boat structure, wiring, and fuel lines.
