The Fender Acoustasonic Standard Telecaster is a right-handed acoustic-electric guitar designed to cover acoustic and magnetic-pickup tones from one Telecaster-inspired instrument. Its slim, contoured Acoustasonic body is suited to players who want an unplugged voice for writing or practice while retaining amplified flexibility for rehearsals, recording, and stage use. The Black finish provides a straightforward modern appearance around the guitar's traditional Fender silhouette.

A solid Sitka spruce top and nyatoh body create the instrument's acoustic foundation. The hollow, Telecaster-inspired body is built for natural resonance and projection when played without amplification. Rosewood is used for both the fingerboard and bridge, complementing the guitar's acoustic-oriented construction.

For amplified use, the Acoustasonic Standard Telecaster combines a Fishman under-saddle transducer with a Fender Acoustasonic Shawbucker magnetic pickup. The under-saddle pickup supplies the acoustic side of the sound, while the Shawbucker provides a humbucking electric-guitar character. A master volume control and blend control let the player adjust the balance between the two pickup systems.

The guitar uses Fender and Fishman-designed analog electronics rather than a multi-switch digital voicing system. Its patented Stringed Instrument Resonance System and inlaid braced top were developed for the Acoustasonic platform. This configuration keeps the control layout simple while providing blended acoustic and magnetic tones.

A bolt-on nyatoh neck with a Modern Deep C profile gives the guitar a familiar electric-guitar-style feel. The 25.5-inch scale, 12-inch rosewood fingerboard radius, medium-jumbo frets, and 22-fret layout support chord work, single-note lines, and transitions between acoustic and electric playing styles. It can be used as a standalone acoustic instrument or connected to a compatible guitar amplifier or PA system for amplified performance.

Design & Installation

This model has a solid Sitka spruce top, nyatoh back and sides, a nyatoh bolt-on neck, and a satin urethane body and neck finish. Its body includes integrated forearm and back contours, while the hardware uses a modern asymmetrical bridge, black plastic bridge pins, chrome hardware, and standard chrome strap buttons. The Black model has a Black/Aged White rosette, ivory dot position inlays, and white side dots.

No vehicle-style installation or mounting is required; this is a self-contained guitar. For amplified use, connect it to an appropriate guitar amplifier or PA system and set the master volume and blend controls for the desired pickup balance.
