The Fender CD-140SCE is a right-handed, six-string acoustic-electric guitar built around a single-cutaway dreadnought body. It is suited to players who want a full-size acoustic instrument for home practice, songwriting, rehearsals, or amplified performance. The included hardshell case provides a dedicated storage and transport solution.

A solid spruce top and quartersawn scalloped X-bracing form the core of the guitar's acoustic construction. The body uses laminated ovangkol for the back and sides, while the dreadnought profile provides the familiar feel and response associated with this body style. Its cutaway gives access to upper-register frets without changing the traditional dreadnought format.

The CD-140SCE uses Fender's Easy-to-Play neck shape with rolled fingerboard edges. A mahogany neck, walnut fingerboard, 12-inch radius, and 1.69-inch nut width create a clearly defined playing platform. The 25.3-inch scale length and 20 vintage-size frets complete the fretted layout.

For amplified use, the guitar includes a Fender-exclusive Fishman CD-1 pickup and preamp system. Onboard controls include volume, bass, treble, an integrated electronic tuner with an on/off switch, and a low-battery indicator light. These controls allow basic level, tonal, and tuning adjustments directly from the instrument.

The CD-140SCE fits players looking to begin with an acoustic guitar that also has onboard electronics for use with external amplification. Its included case supports regular travel, while the standard chrome strap buttons accommodate a compatible guitar strap. Fender Dura-Tone coated 80/20 strings in .012-.052 gauges are factory fitted.

This Sunburst CD-140SCE combines a gloss-finished solid spruce top with laminated ovangkol back and sides. It has multiple body binding, a CD Series pearloid rosette, a 1-ply tortoiseshell pickguard, and chrome hardware. The walnut bridge, white bridge pins with black dots, and traditional Fender headstock complete its acoustic-guitar design.

No vehicle-style installation is required; the guitar is ready to play as a standard right-handed acoustic-electric instrument. For amplified use, connect the guitar to a compatible external amplification setup and use the Fishman CD-1 controls for volume, bass, treble, and tuning adjustments. The included hardshell case is the listed accessory, while Fender's FA610 Dreadnought Gig Bag is recommended separately and is not included.
