Gretsch G5013CE Rancher Jr. Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar

The Gretsch G5013CE Rancher Jr. is a right-handed, six-string acoustic-electric guitar with a compact Rancher Jr. body and single-cutaway design. It gives players an acoustic instrument that can be played naturally on its own or used with amplification when a pickup-equipped guitar is needed. Its black gloss finish, triangular Rancher soundhole, and classic Gretsch appointments give it a distinctive visual identity.

This model is suited to guitarists seeking a smaller-bodied acoustic-electric with access to the upper frets. The 4.5-inch-deep body uses a laminated spruce top, laminated mahogany back and sides, and scalloped X bracing. That construction is designed to provide a balanced acoustic response with useful projection.

A mahogany neck with a comfortable C profile supports familiar acoustic playing techniques, from chord work to single-note passages. Its 25-inch scale length, 1.6875-inch synthetic-bone nut, and 12-inch-radius laurel fingerboard provide a conventional playing platform. For amplified use, the G5013CE includes a Fishman Presys III pickup system with an active onboard preamp and tuner. Onboard controls provide volume plus bass, middle, and treble adjustment, while a low-battery indicator helps monitor the electronics. This makes it practical for rehearsal, recording setups, and live performance rigs that use acoustic-guitar amplification or a DI path.

Gretsch completes the guitar with a laurel bridge, compensated synthetic-bone saddle, nickel-plated hardware, and deluxe die-cast tuning machines. The G5013CE combines a laminated spruce top with laminated mahogany back and sides, finished in gloss polyester. Its bound mahogany neck, black finish, triangular soundhole, tortoiseshell pickguard, and nickel-plated hardware establish its recognizable Gretsch Rancher look. Gretsch specifies a laurel bridge and traditional acoustic bridge construction.

Use the guitar as a standard acoustic instrument or connect its Fishman-equipped electronics to an appropriate amplified acoustic setup. The onboard tuner and volume, bass, middle, and treble controls allow basic adjustment directly from the instrument.
