The Fender Acoustasonic Standard Telecaster is a right-handed acoustic-electric guitar designed for players who want acoustic character and electric-style versatility in one instrument. Its fully chambered, Telecaster-inspired body provides a compact alternative to keeping separate acoustic and electric guitars ready for writing, rehearsal, recording, or performance. The Honey Burst finish pairs a solid Sitka spruce top with a familiar Fender-inspired outline.

This model is suited to guitarists who move between unplugged playing and amplified setups. The hollow body offers a naturally resonant acoustic voice for casual practice, while the onboard pickup system supports use with an appropriate amplifier or PA system. Its 25.5-inch scale and 22 medium-jumbo frets retain a familiar full-scale electric-guitar feel.

Fender combines a Fishman under-saddle transducer with an Acoustasonic Standard Shawbucker magnetic pickup. The under-saddle pickup captures the string response associated with amplified acoustic guitar, while the magnetic pickup supplies a humbucking electric-guitar voice. Fender and Fishman-designed analog electronics allow the two pickup sources to be used individually or blended together.

A master volume control sets the overall output level, and the Blend control adjusts the balance between the piezo and magnetic pickup systems. This straightforward layout lets players shift from primarily acoustic response to more magnetic-pickup presence without navigating digital presets or a pickup selector. The rosewood fingerboard and bridge complement the instrument's acoustic-oriented construction.

Design & Installation

The guitar uses a solid Sitka spruce top with nyatoh body, back, sides, and neck construction. Its body and neck have satin urethane finishes, while integrated forearm and back contours improve comfort against the player. Chrome hardware, a Modern Asymmetrical bridge, black plastic bridge pins, and a black/aged-white rosette complete the design.

No installation is required for normal acoustic use. For amplified playing, connect the guitar to a suitable instrument amplifier or PA setup and use the master volume and Blend controls to establish the desired pickup balance.
