The Crunch DR-1325.4D is a compact four-channel car audio amplifier designed to add dedicated amplification to aftermarket speaker systems. Its Class D design supports full-range speaker setups as well as bridged configurations for systems that combine speakers and subwoofers. It is a practical option for vehicle owners who need flexible channel routing from one amplifier.

This V-DRIVE amplifier is rated by Crunch at up to 4 x 330 watts at 2 ohms, 4 x 165 watts at 4 ohms, or 2 x 660 watts bridged at 4 ohms. Those configuration choices allow it to run four speakers, two bridged pairs, or a mixed stereo-and-mono arrangement when the connected speakers and wiring are compatible. Its 2-ohm unbridged capability gives installers additional options when selecting speakers.

Adjustable high-pass and low-pass crossovers operate from 40Hz to 400Hz with a 12dB-per-octave slope. This allows the amplifier to send appropriate frequency ranges to full-range speakers or subwoofers instead of relying only on the source unit for filtering. The onboard electronic crossover controls help tailor a system around the speakers being used.

Crunch uses proprietary SPEED-FET MOSFET output devices and a PWM power supply in the DR-1325.4D. A QTD aluminum heat sink adds thermal mass to support heat dissipation during operation. The amplifier also includes low-noise preamplifier circuitry and RCA signal inputs for connection to compatible aftermarket source units or processors.

An LED VU meter and selectable logo illumination provide visual feedback during setup, while the protection diagnostic indicator monitors overload and speaker-short conditions. RCA output connections can be used to pass signal to a second amplifier for system expansion. Design & Installation

The DR-1325.4D uses a black compact chassis with an aluminum QTD heat sink, nickel-plated brass connection terminals, and screw-down connectors. Its selectable logo lighting can be set to constant red, VU meter operation, or off. The amplifier measures 6.85 inches long, 5.83 inches wide, and 2.2 inches high.

Use 4 AWG power and ground cable with the amplifier's 4 AWG power terminals, and use an external 60A fuse. The installation guide specifies placing the power-cable fuse within 18 inches of the battery and mounting the amplifier securely with adequate ventilation. Connect compatible RCA signal cables, select the crossover mode for each channel pair, and set gain carefully to match the source unit output.
