This guitar combines a poplar Stratocaster-shaped body with a gloss polyurethane finish, a maple bolt-on neck, and a maple fingerboard. The neck uses a satin urethane finish with a gloss urethane headstock face, while the nut is synthetic bone.

For use, tune the installed .009-.042 nickel-plated steel strings, select a pickup position with the five-way blade switch, and adjust the master volume and two tone controls to suit the amplifier and playing style. The instrument is intended for right-handed players and uses a standard six-string electric-guitar format. For transport or storage, Fender recommends a Classic Series Stratocaster/Telecaster Wood Hardshell Case or FE405 Electric Guitar Gig Bag; both are not included.
