The Fender Player II Stratocaster HSS is a right-handed solidbody electric guitar finished in Birch Green with a slab rosewood fingerboard. The alder Stratocaster body has Fender's contoured shape for comfortable playing positions, whether seated or standing. A gloss polyester finish provides a durable exterior, while the maple neck uses a Modern "C" profile. The neck back has a satin urethane finish intended to provide a smooth playing feel.

The 25.5-inch scale length, 9.5-inch-radius slab rosewood fingerboard, rolled fingerboard edges, and 22 medium-jumbo frets provide a familiar modern Fender playing platform. This combination supports chord work, single-note lines, and string bending without departing from the core Stratocaster layout. A synthetic bone nut and single-action, head-adjust truss rod complete the neck design.

Player Series Alnico V Strat single-coil pickups are fitted in the neck and middle positions, while a Player Series Alnico II humbucker occupies the bridge position. The five-position blade switch selects bridge, bridge/middle, middle, middle/neck, and neck pickup voices. Separate tone control for the bridge pickup helps make its response independently adjustable from the neck and middle pickups.

A two-point synchronized tremolo with bent steel saddles adds expressive pitch control, and Fender ClassicGear tuning machines support routine tuning adjustments. This guitar connects to a standard guitar amplifier, pedalboard, recording interface, or wireless guitar system through its front-mounted output jack. A case or gig bag is not included, so players planning to transport it should add suitable protection separately.

Design & Installation

The Player II Stratocaster HSS pairs an alder body with a maple neck, slab rosewood fingerboard, nickel/chrome hardware, and a three-ply parchment pickguard. Its Birch Green gloss polyester finish is complemented by aged white plastic pickup covers, control knobs, and switch tip. The bolt-on neck uses a four-bolt standard neck plate with an "F" logo.

No vehicle installation or amplifier wiring is required: connect a standard instrument cable from the front-mounted output jack to a guitar amplifier, effects pedal chain, wireless transmitter, or compatible recording interface. The guitar is supplied with .009-.042 nickel-plated steel strings and a standard tremolo arm; adjust action, intonation, tremolo balance, and truss rod only with appropriate tools and experience. Fender specifies a 3/16-inch hex truss rod wrench, while the recommended case and gig bag are sold separately.
