The Gretsch G5230T Electromatic Jet FT is a right-handed solidbody electric guitar finished in Cadillac Green. It is designed for players who want the focused response of a chambered single-cut guitar with the distinctive feel and control layout associated with a Gretsch Jet. Its chambered mahogany body and arched laminated maple top create a substantial acoustic foundation while keeping the instrument in a compact solidbody format.

This model is suited to guitarists seeking clear, defined electric-guitar tones for clean, edge-of-breakup, and higher-gain playing. Its two Black Top Filter'Tron pickups provide a balanced pickup configuration with articulate note separation. A three-position toggle lets the player select bridge, combined, or neck pickup operation.

The G5230T provides flexible onboard control through separate neck and bridge pickup volume knobs, plus master volume and master tone controls. The master volume includes a treble bleed circuit, helping retain high-frequency presence as the volume is reduced. This arrangement allows pickup blends and overall output adjustments directly from the guitar.

A mahogany set neck with a Thin "U" profile joins the chambered body, while the laurel fingerboard has a 12-inch radius and 22 medium-jumbo frets. The 24.6-inch scale length, synthetic bone nut, and 1.6875-inch nut width create a familiar platform for fretting chords, bends, and lead lines. Pearloid Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays and white neck binding complete the traditional Jet-inspired presentation.

For expressive pitch movement, the guitar uses a Bigsby B50 vibrato tailpiece with an Anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge. Chrome hardware, die-cast tuning machines, and a silver plexi pickguard complement the Cadillac Green gloss finish. It can serve as a primary electric guitar or as a distinct tonal and vibrato-equipped addition to an existing guitar-and-amplifier setup.

Design & Installation

The G5230T uses a gloss-finished chambered mahogany body, mahogany back, arched laminated maple top, and a gloss mahogany set neck. Its body binding is white with black-and-white purfling, while the bound headstock, silver plexi pickguard, pearloid thumbnail inlays, G-Arrow knobs, and chrome hardware establish its visual identity. The guitar is fitted with die-cast tuning machines and Gretsch knurled strap retainer knobs.

Set up the guitar with its factory .010-.046 nickel-plated steel strings or have a qualified guitar technician adjust the instrument for a different string gauge or playing preference. Connect the guitar to an appropriate instrument cable and electric-guitar amplification system, then use the individual pickup volumes, master volume, master tone, and three-way selector to shape its output.
