Mount the amplifier securely in a ventilated location such as a trunk, hatch area, or behind a pickup-truck seat, with the heatsink fins facing upward rather than downward. Use a fused battery connection, a secure chassis ground, and wire of 10 AWG or larger for the amplifier's +12V and ground leads; the manual notes that 18 AWG wire is sufficient for the remote turn-on lead. Confirm that each stereo channel sees no lower than 2 ohms and that bridged channel pairs see no lower than 4 ohms.
