JBL JBLPA1254 4-Channel Powersports Amplifier
$289.54
AUDIOTEK AT-MC84 4-Channel 8-Gauge Motorcycle Amplifier Kit
$86.00
The JBL PA1254 is a four-channel Class D powersports amplifier designed to add dedicated amplification to marine, automotive, and off-road audio systems. Its compact footprint helps solve the common challenge of finding room for an amplifier in space-limited installations. It can power four full-range speakers or be configured for two bridged channels.
With 75 watts RMS per channel at 4 ohms, the PA1254 is suited to driving compatible speakers with controlled, full-range output. It delivers 125 watts RMS per channel at 2 ohms, while bridged operation provides 250 watts RMS to each of two 4-ohm loads. Separate front and rear level controls support balanced system tuning.
This amplifier is built for systems exposed to demanding outdoor conditions. Its ultra-compact aluminum chassis and conformal-coated circuit board support use in marine and powersports environments. The Class D design provides efficient power delivery in a small enclosure.
Flexible crossover controls allow the PA1254 to fit a range of speaker and subwoofer layouts. The front channels offer selectable full-range or high-pass operation, while the rear channels add selectable low-pass capability. Crossover points at 60, 80, and 120 Hz help divide frequencies between speakers and a subwoofer.
Both low-level RCA and high-level speaker inputs are provided for integration with aftermarket or factory-style source units. High-level installation can use the included adapters and the amplifier's DC-offset signal sensing turn-on feature. This makes the PA1254 a practical foundation for upgrading a four-speaker system or building a compact multi-channel setup.
Key Features
- Four-Channel Class D Power: Supplies efficient amplification for compatible full-range speakers.
- 75W RMS Per Channel: Delivers rated output at 4 ohms across four channels.
- Bridgeable Channel Pairs: Supports two-channel bridged operation at 4 ohms.
- Selectable Crossovers: Helps match amplifier output to speakers or subwoofers.
- High- And Low-Level Inputs: Connects with speaker-level or RCA source signals.
- Conformal-Coated Circuit Board: Adds protection for demanding outdoor installations.
Design & Installation
The PA1254 uses an ultra-compact aluminum chassis measuring 9.53 inches wide, 1.75 inches high, and 3.3 inches deep. Its conformal-coated PCB is intended for harsh-condition use, while the compact enclosure supports mounting where larger amplifiers may not fit. Power and protection indicators provide operating-status feedback.
Install the amplifier in a secure location with ventilation, avoiding a heat-sink-down orientation. Use 10 AWG power wiring, a properly fused battery connection, and a solid chassis or battery-negative ground connection. For low-level input, connect RCA cables and a remote turn-on lead; for high-level input, use the supplied adapters and set the input selector to HI.

Can the PA1254 power four speakers?
Yes. It is a four-channel amplifier rated at 75W RMS per channel at 4 ohms or 125W RMS per channel at 2 ohms. Match connected speakers to supported amplifier loads.
Can this amplifier be bridged for fewer channels?
Yes. The PA1254 supports two-channel bridged operation at 4 ohms, rated at 250W RMS x 2. Use the specified bridged speaker-wire connections in the owner's manual.
Will it work with a factory radio?
It can accept high-level speaker inputs when a source unit does not provide RCA preamp outputs. Four high-level input adapters are included.
Does it need a remote turn-on wire?
A remote turn-on wire is used with low-level RCA input installations. When using high-level inputs, the amplifier can turn on through its 12V DC-offset signal-sensing feature.
What wiring is recommended?
JBL specifies 10 AWG wire. The power connection should be fused, with the fuse holder located within 18 inches of the battery.
What accessories are included?
The package includes the amplifier, stainless steel mounting hardware, four high-level input adapters, four zip ties, a spare fuse, two JBL stickers, and a quick start guide.
