The JS32 DKA-M combines an arched-top basswood Dinky body with a one-piece maple bolt-on neck, white neck binding, and a bound headstock. The neck has a satin polyester finish, while the body has a gloss finish. A four-bolt neck plate, black knurled flat-top control knobs, and no pickguard are part of the specified construction.

For setup, use standard electric-guitar strings and match the installed .009-.042 gauge set when maintaining the factory-style balance. The Floyd Rose double-locking system requires strings to be secured at both the locking nut and bridge, so tuning changes or string-gauge changes may require bridge and spring-tension adjustment.
