This guitar is suited to metal, progressive, djent, and other technically demanding styles where low-register clarity and precise intonation matter. The 26-inch to 28-inch multi-scale length uses a shorter treble-side scale and longer bass-side scale to accommodate the eight-string format. That design helps balance feel between the high and low strings while retaining familiar lead-playing access.

A mahogany Dinky body with an arched top provides the foundation, paired with a one-piece maple bolt-on neck. Graphite reinforcement and a scarf joint support neck stability, while the satin neck finish is built for a smooth, non-sticky playing surface. The 12-inch to 16-inch compound-radius laurel fingerboard becomes flatter higher up the neck for fretting chords and navigating lead passages.

Dual Jackson uncovered 8-string blade humbucking pickups provide the guitar's amplified voice. A three-position toggle selects the bridge pickup, both pickups, or the neck pickup, while dedicated volume and tone controls allow straightforward adjustment at the instrument. This HH layout is practical for players using high-gain amps, modelers, pedalboards, or recording interfaces.

Staggered individual bridge saddles are matched to the multi-scale construction and provide individual string support at the bridge. Jackson sealed die-cast tuning machines and the 4x4 AT-1 headstock arrangement complete the fixed-bridge hardware package. Design & Installation

The DKAF8 MS uses a gloss-finished mahogany Dinky body, satin-finished maple neck, laurel fingerboard, black plastic nut, and black hardware. Its neck is bolt-on with recessed four-bolt neck-plate screws, graphite reinforcement, and a scarf joint. The fingerboard has 24 jumbo frets, offset pearloid dot inlays, and no neck binding.

As a passive electric guitar, the DKAF8 MS connects to a compatible guitar amplifier, pedalboard, modeler, or recording interface with a standard instrument cable. Its fixed staggered-saddle bridge is intended for eight-string electric-guitar strings; the factory set is nickel-plated steel in .010-.074 gauges. Saddle-height and truss-rod wrenches are included, while the compatible SLAT 7/8 String Gig Bag is optional.
