The Jackson JS Series Dinky Arch Top JS22 DKA is a right-handed, six-string solidbody electric guitar finished in Satin Black. It is designed for players who want a compact double-cutaway instrument with 24 frets, humbucking pickups, and a tremolo bridge. Its layout suits rock, metal, and other amplified guitar styles that benefit from a focused, high-output pickup configuration.

A poplar Dinky body with an arched top provides the platform for the guitar’s bolt-on maple speed neck. The 25.5-inch scale length offers familiar electric-guitar string tension and spacing for standard tuning and common alternate tunings. The deep double-cutaway body shape also provides access to the upper frets.

The bound amaranth fingerboard uses a 12-to-16-inch compound radius that is rounder near the nut and flatter higher up the neck. This design supports chord work in lower positions while providing a flatter surface for bends and lead playing farther up the fingerboard. Twenty-four jumbo frets extend the available playing range to two full octaves per string.

Jackson high-output humbucking pickups with ceramic magnets are fitted at the neck and bridge positions. A three-position blade switch selects the bridge pickup, both pickups, or the neck pickup, while master volume and tone controls provide straightforward adjustment. This HH layout is ready to connect to a standard guitar amplifier, effects pedal, audio interface, or amp-modeling system with a 1/4-inch instrument cable.

The JS22 DKA uses a 2-point fulcrum tremolo for pitch-expression effects and Jackson sealed die-cast tuning machines for string tuning. Graphite reinforcement, a scarf-joint neck construction, and a dual-action truss rod support neck setup and stability. It is a practical platform for a first electric-guitar rig or for adding a tremolo-equipped HH guitar to an existing collection.

Design & Installation

The JS22 DKA combines a Satin Black poplar body with a satin maple neck, white neck and headstock binding, pearloid sharkfin inlays, and black hardware. Its pointed 6-in-line Jackson headstock, dome-style control knobs, black pickup covers, and black switch tip complete the coordinated appearance. The guitar has no pickguard and uses standard strap buttons.

Connect the guitar’s 1/4-inch output to a guitar amplifier, pedal chain, amp modeler, or audio interface using a standard instrument cable. Tune the factory nickel-plated steel .009-.042 strings before use, and use the volume, tone, and three-position blade switch to set the desired pickup response.
